I think this whole fic came out of my frustration with the fact that so many horrible, very public things have happened to Nathan on the show, and we've never got a reaction shot from his family. He was assassinated on television for crying out loud. I have the thought to write a sequel where Simon realizes the events of "An Invisible Thread," but even the idea makes me kinda want to cry.
