Procrastination is a God Send... Wait. No, it isn't...

*Twiddles thumbs*

You know, for someone who wants to be a professional editor, I'm sure having a difficult time forcing myself to sit down and edit 25 pages of my work for a writing portfolio. Must be productive, though, because I only have a week before the applications are due for the Professional Editing Program (a.k.a Professional Writing Minor). Absolutely loving the irony of the fact that both of my majors were like, "Oh, sure. Come on in!" whereas my minor (minor meaning least) is all, "Earn it, bitch! Thou art unworthy!" -_-;

I'm also dragging my feet on going back to Student Health to see about this carpal tunnel I've had goin' on for the past, oh, five months or so? XD It's just that some superficial research performed by yours truly has me thinking that the only real options they can offer me is either a brace and some painkillers or a referral for that surgery where they drill a hole in one of my hand bones to alleviate the pressure. So, a waste of time (and a possible pills addiction down the road) or surgery. Not liking my options there. Pain's not such a big deal, right?

Wow, you can minor in that? I got a degree in creative writing and just sort of ended up doing it. I bet a minor could get you more postgrad interviews that what I did, though.

Yeah, I'm pretty much doing it for the experience and resume boosting. Well, that and my obvious love of various writing forms. XD

Yeah, with the money editing pays, you BETTER love it. *g*

physical therapy is a godsend. I'm not kidding, mine is not doing great right now but any relief from the pain is worth it. But yeah, don't do the pills. And surgery takes FOREVER to recover from, meanwhile you can't do anything with it at all and have to do physical therapy anyway.

I don't know if my Student Health offers physical therapy for carpal tunnel. :( But I suppose I'll find out if I ever get my arse over there.

hmm, it should...

What is your major and minor? *curious*

I think I am getting carpal tunnel, too. But I'd rather not drill a hole in my wrists... D:

Drilling holes in any part of my body is undesired. D:

Hehe. My academic track is kind of a mouthful:

Major 1: English (emphasis in Early Modern Studies).
Major 2: History.
Minor: Professional Writing (emphasis in Professional Editing).
