Heroes S3 E14: A Clear and Present Danger...
I don't know if I'm recovered enough from V3 to start V4 yet. But the network didn't ask me, so here we go.
heroes_meta time!
Nathan/Peter: Damn, I love Nathan, but I really wanted to punch him in his Patriot Act face. I'm torn between being pissed that Nathan sold out his own brother and being happy to see the Petrellicest alive and well even when they're hating on each other. Nathan-the-stalker broke into Peter's apartment to faux!apologize for breaking up with him.
And the writers remembered Nathan's religious conversion! Consistency, yes?
Paramedic!Peter: I love how Peter opens the episode with a fail (failing to save the car victim) and then he ends the episode with another major fail (breaking a hole in the freaking airplane carrying all his friends). Also, Peter is clearly never going to learn to always avoid the Godfather hugs from his psychotic family members.
Peter/Mohinder: Hehe. Again, a huge geek!gasm over the "Hello, Peter" smile. And the hand-holders were Peter and Mohinder after all! Ship, ship, ship. Of course, they sucked the sexy out of that by making it about Peter power siphoning, but they made up for it by having Mohinder try to save him from falling out of the plane. It was sweet of him to be concerned, considering that PETER CAN FLY!
Mohinder: His Indian accent came back along with his cab! I love how Mohinder is acting like two months is too long a time to still be holding a grudge over his trying to web everyone, forcibly experimenting on innocent people, and building a super army for Nathan. And haha, his stupid!speak-- Look at me, I'm Mohinder, and I don't care if the government takes away those other people-- came back to hit him in the face. Like Peter with the Petrelli hugs, Mohinder should learn to never get in a car with HRG.
Tracey: Ali Larter is earning her paycheck again by undressing. And it's so good to know that with all these threats flying around Washington-- threats concerning her personally-- she still has time to sleep with the governor. Oh, Tracey, please try to be awesome this volume, okay?
Zelkjo Ivanek: I love that evil hunter guy is evil Governor Devlin from Oz.
Hiro/Ando: LOL, Ando's costume and the Ando-cycle. But wait, the writers seriously want me to believe that Hiro-- OUR HIRO?-- knows how to "embed" something? Hiro's a geek all right, but being a geek does not automatically mean that someone knows how to create a GPS tracking system.
Claire: Haha, I thought Hamilton sounded like a fake college so I was sure that was the one Claire would go to, but-- silly me-- it's real. You gotta (not) love that Claire gets to go to an Ivy League school despite not having spent more than a week in high school. Fantastic. At least she was proactively awesome this episode. Good girl, Claire. Keep that up, and I might love you again.
HRG/Angela: Whoa, now, is HRG shacked up with Angela? Because Claire was living with her, but whining about HRG always going on "business" trips. Did HRG finally abandon Sandra and Lyle (just as the writers have)? HRG/Angela would be impossibly dirty!bad!wrong(hot?). I can't believe that they're collaborating with Nathan and the government. Oh, who am I kidding? Not surprised at all.
Sylar: Oh, God, now he's blaming his deadbeat dad for his evilness. Who next? Is there anyone not responsible for his problems besides Sylar himself? Why doesn't he just check into therapy and spare me?
Matt: Hey, Matt still has a job! A different job now, but a job nonetheless. He also has visions of African!Issac that must be chemically induced, because it sounded like Usutu just told him that he's a destined prophet. But I must have misheard or else Matt is still hitting the hyena crap, because that would be crazy talk. Matt's power is not empathy, nor is it prophetic. Yes, there must have been something in my ear.
Lastly, I was happy to see the heroes in the "normal" world, but that apparently lasted all of five seconds. I really hope that we get to see them living all witness protection style where they have no choice but to try to fit in. That's one of the things I was most looking forward to, so yeah.
Actually looking forward to next week for once!

Good point: so you can skip most of your highschool classes and still go to a good university, hu? well, money can do miracles so I will buy it.
Love Mohinder and his cab, and if he (and all the other characters) are acting like all his crazy behaviour in volumen 3 never happened, I will happily play along (spider-what? Maya? who´s that?).
A bit disappointing: Angela is on the side of nazi-Nathan? and she betrayed Peter? Buh, I hope she is a double agent or something like that.
I can´t see Pete/Nathan right now because I´m scared of egomaniac-Nathan. I hate when politicians use big words to scare people and justify infamous actions, it makes me sick.
And you are right, Tracy is probably the most useless/boring character by now.

Yeah, I do have a problem with the idea of Angela betraying Peter when he's been the son who's actually stood by her despite all of her evil machinations, while Nathan is the son who has done nothing but bitch at her for two seasons and align with his father over her.
I hope Tracey actually does something this volume that doesn't involve being a whore.

I've got some invitations for new web site called Lunch.com, which is in private beta right now, meaning only invited people can sign up! Lunch is a social sharing network, where you can contribute facts and opinions about almost everything.
Your reviews would be a great addition to the site and would be a great way to get more exposure for them. You can keep writing your reviews on your LJ and copy & paste them on to Lunch for more people to find and enjoy!
If you're interested, please e-mail me or reply with your e-mail address and I'll send you an invite!
