BSG and Felix Gaeta...

starvinbohemianI was saving up all my thoughts about BSG until after I'd finished all the available episodes of S4, but I just finished watching Blood on the Scales and...
OMG, Gaeta.
I can hardly believe how many times this show has made me alternately love and hate him. After his mutiny, I wanted to see him airlocked sooo badly. But then, with one final scene between him and Baltar, I loved him again.
Really, I think my feelings for Gaeta are mostly influenced by how he is relating to Baltar in any given scene. Because I ship them SO HARD. I've shipped them since they first started sharing scenes in S1, when Gaeta was Baltar's eager and naive assistant. I started turning on Gaeta after he tried to kill Baltar in his cell and most definitely after he perjured himself to get Baltar convicted during his trial.
I thought I was done shipping them after that, but then Gaeta took his phone call during the mutiny, casually asking, "What do you want, Gaius?" with that casual, sexy, first-name-using tone when he was already busy doing mutinous things and didn't have to take his call at all. Then, all the insinuations that Baltar knew him so well. And who is the last person Gaeta sees before he dies? BALTAR. That just blows my mind. After everything they've done to each other, Felix Gaeta gives his last moments to Gaius Baltar, taking the time to share his life story and even admitting that Gaius made him feel inferior (when it comes to science).
How can I NOT ship that? But now he's dead, and I am sad. *Weeps* I didn't give a shit about Dualla, but my Gaeta.
