I'm gonna have to read this very carefully once I have a chance, what an impressive work. And Renji *sigh*, as if I needed more reasons to add to my Why I love the 6th division fuku-taichou list. I do wonder... does his name really refer to the fact that Rukia had a crush on him after Kaien? I always believed it was the other way around. At first I thought that it referred to him being second to Ichigo, concerning Rukia's love.

Yeah, I don't know what I'm saying anymore... thank God it's friday already! XD

There's a major or there. I bet you anything that his name actually means "yearning love" rather than "second love." It fits better, methinks.
