Huzzah for new Sweeney Todd/T.S. Eliot layout! ^_^

Last Bitch about J.K. Rowling:

Quoted from [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]'s LJ:

"Draco Malfoy: Jo loathed Pansy Parkinson (she's every girl Jo ever hated at school; she's the anti-Hermione); and Draco (whom she doesn't think is as bad as Pansy), married Astoria Greengrass (Daphne's little sister), who was two years younger than Draco at Hogwarts."

I'm sorry, but in what universe is Pansy worse than Draco? All the girl did was shadow whatever Draco did. She was a pale imitation of Draco. Pansy didn't actually go join up with Voldemort, did she? Noooo. That was Draco. Neither did she send Katie Bell to St. Mungo's nor attempt to assassinate Dumbledore. That was Draco. Yes, she composed a bitchy song about Ron, but that so easily could have been Draco that they will probably credit him for it in the next movie. *Fumes*

I flipped through it. There's way more focus on non-Barker Johanna, though, and I can't say that's a positive thing. XD

Oh, that's right? She's not his daughter in that one, is she?

And I also read that most of the things that Burton and Sondheim cut out from the movie were the Anthony/Johanna bits. It'd be interesting to see them actually having a developed relationship, but I could definitely see how that wouldn't fit the movie...

Nah. Johanna didn't become his daughter until Christopher Bond's book that came out in the '70s (I believe). She was Johanna Oakley. Of course, Antony's name used to be Mark. XD Before that book and the succeeding musical based on it, Sweeney was just a character from nightmares, sans the sympathetic back story.

If you want to see or hear the missing Johanna/Antony bits, then you should check out the Angela Lansbury one. It's on DVD, CD, etc. And I wouldn't ever really call their relationship "developed." There's this hilarious moment, when they're making out in her room after sneaking him in, and she suddenly blurts out, "What's your name again?" XD If anything, the missing songs just further highlight how retarded those two are.

Didn't the play first pop up in the 70's, too? And what is this book? :O I am seriously obsessed now with finding out more about Sweeny Todd. Thank you, Hollywood.

I already put a hold on the Angela Lansbury one at the library! I can't wait to see it. And...and how would Johanna know his name...?

(ALSO: Was I hallucinating, or does Crazy!Lucy not sing that one part in "Alms! Alms!" in the movie? I heard it on the CD and was like, "Urr...")

*FacePalm* I meant the play by Bond from the '70s. There is a book, though, that you'd probably like. Here (http://www.amazon.com/Sweeney-Todd-Demon-Barber-Street/dp/1845767047). It's got just about everything you could want to know about Sweeney. Plus, Tim Burton wrote the Forward.

LOL! They totally cut out all of Lucy's sexual advances. Probably for the best, though. ;)

She wouldn't, but she probably could have asked before getting it on with him in her bedroom. XD

@____@ I MUST ACQUIRE THIS BOOK.

Probably. I hope there's some major deleted scenes on the DVD release of this movie, though. :

Now I seriously can't wait for my DVD to come in at the library...wow I'm obsessed. I think Sweeney comes in as a close second to Wicked on my mental list of favorite musicals, and that's saying something... >_>
