Stanzi has a new sibling!



Meet Sophia Lavinia-- a.k.a Sophie. A.k.a Stanzi II: The Girl Version. They're full biological siblings, and they seem to share the same personality. It's hilarious, and she brings back all the memories of when Stanzi was a puppy (because they look and act exactly the same-- and because it was just a few months ago that he was one). The main difference? Sophie is a cuddler! Unlike Stanzi, who puts up with it for only so long before he tires of humoring the silly humans. If I had gotten them in the reverse order, they soooo would have been named Wolfie and Stanzi.

Sophie used to live with my cousins, but they weren't expecting all the effort required for a Shih-tzu puppy. I tell people that they're remarkably similar to babies (up to and including absurd wake-up times), but they always look at me like, "Okay, crazy dog-lady." I guess you have to have one to know. I know certain former roommates of mine who know the deal, huh? ;)

Oh GOD. Oh little Sophie. So dem cute. Dammit all, I wish I could be there for all the annoying/endearing puppy life, including the celebrating every time she uses the puppy pad, and freaking out when she barks, and spraying her in the face and realizing that she actually likes that. Does she have any necessarily long middle names? If she is indeed Stanzi's sister, the tradition cannot die with her. I like Lavinia of course, and I would advocate the use of another badass Roman matron, Drusilla's a good name, but she slept with her brother, so that's a bad precedent. I'd suggest Livia of course, but you already have an L. Pompadour is good, but Nicole will kill you for naming her for the woman who snogged The Doctor who wasn't Billie Piper. A couple of ideas if you are of course still looking: Artemesia, Sofonisba, Catarina, Elisabetta, Remedios (all artists), Imelda (maybe not badass, but notorious), erm, that's all I got for now, if these are not needed, I understand.

OMG!!!!
I'm so jealous of you right now! She's adorable though, congrats :) Are you still planning on breeding Stanzi? Or I guess even Sophie if she's not fixed?
