Still going strong on my That '70s Show kick. You know the drill by now. Just wait me out, and I'll eventually burn through this and move on to the next thing. But until then...
I'm having a bitch of a time finding good Jackie/Hyde fic. There's a ton of it, but it appears that I arrived so late onto the scene that all of the main ports that harbored the good stuff are no longer in existence. I just know that there's a secret stash of awesome J/H fic lying around somewhere (there has to be), but I haven't found it yet. Very frustrating.
Rewatching the episodes in order, I'm really surprised at how much stuff was planted way earlier than I remember it being planted. Granted, the episodes first aired over a decade ago, but still. For instance, I remember shipping Jackie/Hyde pretty early on, but I didn't realize just how early their relationship started developing. S1 early even. And I was all indignant about the seeming randomness of Jackie/Fez in S8, but even that pairing was planted more than I gave it credit for. Not just Fez->Jackie, but Jackie->Fez. I'm still upset by the pairing but with less justification than I assumed. I did finally break down and watch the latter half of S8, and I-- reluctantly-- admit that Jackie and Fez were kinda cute (when I'm not busy being distracted by how steroid!buff Wilmer was by that point). And it may have actually worked really well if it had been done way earlier in the show. But it didn't, so Jackie/Hyde forever, damn it. :P
P.S: I did a count, and there are a total of 4 channels currently running That '70s Show reruns on my television around the clock. I didn't stand a chance! Damn you, mass consumerism!
