Good Rukia/Renji Fic? Where?

I'm starting to get annoyed by my inability to find well-done Rukia/Renji fic.

Sure, there is well-written fic, but I've yet to read one that I actually buy. I think the problem is that all of the fics I find for the pairing are based on an assumption that Rukia has always loved Renji back. Which... I don't believe. We know that he's been in love with her for several decades, but I've never seen even a glimmer of a hint that his feelings have been returned in the same way.

I guess what I really want is to find a fic (or a thousand) that actually takes the time to develop Rukia's feelings for him. And, I'm sorry, but Ichigo really can't be ignored. It's not just the OTP shipping. Even if Rukia has genuinely never felt a romantic attraction to Ichigo, he's still kind of the center of her universe. Renji has expressed jealousy on more than one occasion. It's an issue for them.

However, I've found a plethora of unrequited!Renji fics that are awesome, such as Unwise by Empatheia. Gorgeous fic.

I keep typing in Google searches and getting linked to my own profile page. I typed in "renji/rukia fic rec list," and I got myself. But the only matching word I have on my profile is "fic." I am not the only person with the word "fic" on my profile page. This is the second time this has happened. Naturally, I assumed that Google had done some weird spying-on-me thing, but Nicole performed the same search and got my profile as well.


What... the... hell?
